At Kendrick Imports we believe in importing fairly traded products and have a genuine interest in supporting the communities we import from. The products we import are top quality brands, which we know will not disappoint the buyer and end user. They are all tried, tested and trusted in Africa.

We personally make sure that any products we are associated with are fairly traded. The brands Rogue, Worx of Africa , Bug Geroff and Of African Origin are all fairly traded. The people who make the products are paid fair wages & working conditions that are safe for individual workers and include no discrimination. The environment is protected and production of the goods encourages sustainability wherever possible.

At Kendrick Imports we believe in ethical trading, by which we mean we try to put something back in to the local community.

Some of the projects we are currently involved in include sponsoring a young African student through her degree at Mafeking University in the North West Province of South Africa. Her family were unable to pay her fees so we have paid the difference between the bursary she was awarded and the total cost which has allowed her to reach the final year in her degree in Leisure and Tourism. She finishes university in November and will shortly be looking for her first job in the leisure and tourism industry.

Our most recent ethical project is a very humbling one. We purchased a football strip from our local school’s “Auction of Promises” and took it to Africa for the local African Youth Football team “The Blue Bird Young Stars”. The three coaches have a squad of 27 boys aging from 14 - 18 years. The aim of the coaches is to give the youngsters a focus and spirit that will keep them away from trouble, violence and crime. We have watched the children play, barefoot on a hard dusty pitch with total dedication and enthusiasm. To have a new strip to play in was such a joy for them. We are now hoping to get some support for the team so that we can give them balls, training cones, pumps, whistles and maybe even football boots!

At Kendrick Imports we enjoy importing the great brands to England but also love to think that we are helping individuals or groups in some small way. If a customer is going to buy any product, we believe that they would rather buy from a Company which has a genuine concern for where the products have come from, and the communities and individuals that make them.
